Pawnee goes green!
Fifth & Sixth Grades
I am Mrs. Velazquez and
I have been teaching 2nd grade at Pawnee since 2010.
I love being a 2nd grade teacher.
I enjoy working with students and experiencing the moment when you can see on a child's face that something finally makes sense. Please let me know if there are any specific needs or concerns you have. I am always happy to help.

This website has math games for practicing many different skills. Try the telling time (select time increment of quarter an hour, half an hour, or hour) or place value (select a minimum number of 1 and a maximum number of 1,000 or less). You can also try the greater than less than game (minimum number of 0 and maximum number of 1,000 or less). There are other helpful games here too.

There are some great activities here to help students work on their language skills. Under the Language Arts section, try Phonics, Language-Matching Opposites, or the Form a Sentence Game to get started.
This is a website where you can listen to books being read by Screen Actors Guild members, such as Betty White, Amanda Bynes, and Haylie Duff. It also shows the pictures in the story and you can follow along with the words.
