Library/Media

I started as the library media specialist at Pawnee in August 2018. Previously, I worked as a classroom teacher and library media specialist in other school districts in Missouri and Nebraska. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Central Missouri. When I am not at Pawnee, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mike, and my two daughters, Kaylee and Emily. One of my favorite places to be is the beach because it is the best place to READ! 😊

Music - Strings

Hello there! My name is Angelica Gonzalez, however, I usually go by my nickname, Geli (pronounced like “jelly”) and I’m the traveling strings teacher at Pawnee. I grew up in Bellevue and I’m an alum of the Bellevue Public Schools system. In May of 2019 I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with my Bachelor of Music in Education.

Though I am the strings teacher, my main instrument is actually clarinet and I also play saxophone and French horn. During my time at UNL, I participated in the Cornhusker Marching Band for all 4 years on clarinet and am a proud brother of the honorary band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. You could also see me playing in the Big Red Express pep band on mellophone!

When I’m not at school, I like to read, draw, and play video games. I also work as a staff member with the Bellevue East Marching Band as the clarinet tech. I’m looking forward to sharing music with all my students and hope to help them foster a love for playing an instrument!

Music - Vocal

Hello! My name is Mr. McDougall. I hold both the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Nebraska Omaha. began my teaching career in August 2013 with two small districts in Southwest Iowa and came to Pawnee in 2015. I also teach at Ashland Park-Robbins Elementary School.

Music has always been a central part of my life. I became a music teacher because I believe every child can be successful in music, and it's my job to help my students find that success and help them run with it! I love how kids are able to showcase their creativity through music and learn this amazing life skill while they are having FUN!!
